Day 1 Paro – Thimphu

After arriving to Paro international airport, our ASTER TOURS & TRAVEL representative will warmly greet, welcome you and settle in a comfortable vehicle. Our representative will escort to the paro sightseeing that includes your visit to Drukgyel Dzong- built in the 17th century during the invasion of Tibetan. On the clear day offers the incredible view to Mountain Jomolhari.

After your lunch proceed to capital city of Bhutan, on the way visit to Tachog Lhakhang – is located on the way to Thimphu from Paro. Built by the Drupthop Thangtong Gyelpo. Drupthop Thangtong Gyelpo is a man who built the iron chain in Bhutan in the late 1300s. You may see while passing to the monastery. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Thimphu sightseeing

After your breakfast, visit the indigenous Bhutanese hospital where traditional old art of healing is practice and students learning about tradition medicine. Continue visiting to art and craft school, and National Library.

After your lunch, Visit the national memorial chorten- built in the memory of third king and world peace. Continue visiting to 15th century Changangkha Lhakhang – oldest temple in Thimphu Valley. Takin Zoo- to see the rare takin( National animal of Bhutan) and visit the nunnery temple. Over at the hotel.

Day 3 Thimphu – Punakha

After your breakfast, drive to Punakha valley via Dochula Pass ( 3100 meters). on fine weather you will be able to see beautiful mountain ranges including highest mountain ranges, Mt Gangkar Phensum. Descending down to the valley through rhododendron flowers and green forest will have chances to get good photo graph. Arriving to Punakha, Visit the Punakha dzong- located in the confluence of two big river( Pho chu and Mo chu). It also serve a old capital of Bhutan and now it is used as winter resident of Je khenpo and administration to Punakha district. Every year, during the month of February a procession known as Punakha seldra takes place to commemorate the victory over the Tibetan. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Punakha Sightseeing

After your beautiful breakfast, Visit to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel chorten- dominating the upper Punakha Valley, built to promote harmony, stability and peace of the country. Its having 45 minutes hike from the end of the road. Enjoy the hike through rice field with stunning view towards the valley.

After your lunch, visit Chimi Lhakhang- fertility temple, built by Lam Drukpa Kuenley. Continue visit to the suspension bridge – one of the longest bridge in the Punakha valley, spanning 160- 180 meter and perched high above the swift river of Pho chu. Draped with prayer flag and connects the two town of Punakha. Mainly used by the local peoples. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Punakha – Bumthang

After your beautiful breakfast, drive towards Bumthang via Trongsa and Passes. It is long drive about 6 hours. The route offers wonderful views of Himalaya and landscapes the rhododendron and pine trees.

Lunch served at Trongsa. After your lunch, Visit Trongsa Museum- prominently situated on the steep hills above main dzong. It used to be served as watch tower to Trongsa dzong and now it is converted to museum of  historic of Bhutan.  Proceed to Bumthang via impressive Yutong la Pass and to the Bumthang. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Bumthang Sightseeing

After your breakfast,  begin your day visiting Jakar Dzong- Administrative center to the Bumthang valley.7th century Jambay Lhakhang- temple of Maitreya, is said to be built by Tibetan king and is one of the 108 temple built in single day, Kurjee Lhakhang – it is one of the  most famous and powerful temple in the country, said to have body print of Guru Rinpoche on the rock. Tamzhing Monastery- it is one of the most important Nyingma Gompa in the Bhutan. Konchogsum Monastery- the temple is founded, according to the saint Pema Lingpa as per the 8th century, a Terton discovered the text which had buried by the Guru Rinpoche in this location. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Bumthang sightseeing

Begin your day visiting Ura Valley, Membartsho- a burning lake – where saint Pema Lingpa discover the treasure form lake.

After your lunch visit Tangbi Monastery, Kharchhu Monastery, Oyyen Choling palace and Museum and Ngang Monastery- resident of Penlop who was ruling the valley before Drukpa conquest in the 17th century. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Bumthang – Gangtey

After your breakfast, drive back to Gangtey valley via Trongsa – visit Trongsa dzong which is the largest dzong in the Bhutan located with stunning view. On the way to Gangtey, visit to Chendebji Chorten- unusual style of chorten in the country having eye painted in four direction.

After your lunch drive uphill towards the pass and descending  to beautiful valley of phobjikha through rhododendrons and plants with magnificent  view. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 Gangtey- Paro

Begin your day visiting the Gangtey monastery and Black Necked crane centre, then drive to Paro valley. it is bit long drive to Paro via Dochula  pass. The route offer wonderful and pleasant journey with stunning view.  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 Paro sightseeing

After your breakfast, visit Paro Rinpong Dzong- the administrative centre of the Paro District and Monk body, Ta dzong- National Museum of historic relic of the country. Visit to Dungtse Lhakhang- it is notable as it is in the form of form of chorten, very rare in Bhutan. It is considered a unique repository of the Drukpa Kagyu School. Then Visit to the Kyichu Lhakhang – oldest temple in country, built in 7th century. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Paro sightseeing

After your breakfast, begin your day hiking to the Tiger nest,  the hike is uphill takes about 2/3 hours from the ground floor. The monastery is built in the sheer cliff about 900 meters from the base. It is believed that the Guru Rinpoche came in 7th century on the flying tigress and meditate  3 months, 3 days and 3 hours then he subdue the demons in the paro valley who is trying to stop the teaching of dharma in the Bhutan. leisure time in the Paro town. Overnight the Hotel.

Day 12 Departure

After your breakfast, our representative will escort you the Paro airport for your departure.
